Project Management (PM): North Wind provides PM for project oversight when implementing new technologies on projects. The PM ensures that the technical portion of the project meets the required scope, schedule, and budget. PMs offer a focused management approach to ensure efficient, accountable project completion.
On-Site Data Collection: North Wind offers mapping grade handheld GPS technology with custom data dictionaries to support accurate and complex data collection. Additionally, qualified field personnel, trained and certified by OSHA standards, are available to perform and/or support various data collection events.
Mapping/Cartography: Mapping and cartography is an integral part of decision support analysis – from general site mapping to production quality analysis and report mapping, North Wind delivers the highest quality and most accurate maps to clients. North Wind implements GIS/CADD standards with every project. These standards provide consistency and reproducibility. Additionally, FGDC compliant metadata is maintained for all final production quality data layers.
Spatial Analysis: The North Wind GIS staff customizes spatial analyses specifically to each unique situation. This translates to an unparalleled ability to creatively approach spatial analysis. 3D Spatial Modeling: EVS provides fully three-dimensional modeling based on advanced statistical analysis of analytical data. The advanced capabilities of EVS model data gathered from site wells, borings and measured data, and create full three dimensional outputs of soil contamination, groundwater contamination, and groundwater flow. Outputs include fully three-dimensional models, animations, geostatistics, and cross-sections.
Application Development: North Wind’s development team has many years of experience in a variety of programming languages. This diversity allows for custom application development based on the client/project vision. The current tools offer a range of functionality: environmental project management, risk assessment, and spatial analysis. These tools provide dynamic real-time access to the latest project data from any approved database. Most importantly, North Wind provides desktop and web GIS applications in tandem to offer users multiple data access resources.
