Web-based information system for Charleston Air Force Base, SC, that provides a portal to the Air Force's Installation Restoration Program Information Management System (IRPIMS), a data warehouse comprised of a large and complex relational database for comprehensive environmental data management. Application allows users to access IRPIMS data in a tabular format via the intranet and a GIS interface.

Design and implementation of a Web-based Maintenance Facility Environmental Management System (EMS). The system was engineered using the Systems Development Life Cycle approach, and the model consists of a relational database structure managed by a SQL database engine. The front-end is browser-based and provides all data management, project management, and reporting requirements. The EMS is used by 150 maintenance facilities throughout the State to manage all environmental systems.

Spatial and traditional statistical analysis associated with Fire Regime Condition Class (FRCC) and Normalize Differenced Burn Ratio (NDBR) fire severity for the Salmon-Challis National Forest, ID. Identified trends in fire behavior correlated to vegetation types, stand structure, slope, aspect, and other characteristics of topology that proved to be valuable to fire-fighting strategies.

Utility infrastructure in an ESRI ARC geodatabase format using GPS field observations, line toning buried cables, and existing CAD drawings. Raster imagery and attribute information were linked by attribute tables and conformed to the GEOBASE format used by the Air Force.

Greenville-Spartanburg corridor urban-forest resources assessment and monitoring including resource changes over time. Land cover and percent canopy data layers were derived by classification of LandSatTM imagery and high resolution color infrared aerial photography (NAPP). Using photographs and ERDAS Imagine VirtualGIS, 3-D virtual flight videos were created.
