Sampling and analysis plans, quality assurance project plans, hazardous waste determinations, waste profiling, source term calculations, waste tracking system database management, waste packaging, and shipping documentation for multiple facilities at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) in support of Waste Generator Services.
Data validation and verification on this $7M project in the areas of real-time radiography, nondestructive assay, head space gas sampling and analysis, solids sampling and analysis, and visual examination for the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project's shipment of 6,000 cubic meters of legacy transuranic (TRU) waste from INL to the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) in New Mexico. Performed same services for the contact-handled transuranic waste drum characterization as part of the Transuranic Waste Characterization Program (3,100 Cubic Meter Project) at the INL prior to shipment to WIPP ($7M).
Three-phase, $5M project to develop, test, and evaluate technologies for the in situ delineation and excavation of TRU waste buried in trenches, vertical pipe units, and caissons at the Hanford Burial Grounds, WA. Waste characterization, removal, and packaging technologies were identified and evaluated for each of the burial units. Included proof-of-principle demonstration at North Wind's off-site cold test facility and a hot demonstration at a Hanford low-level burial ground.
